School Advisory Committee (SAC)

What the SAC Does
The School Advisory Council (SAC) represents the school community and includes the principal, teachers, support employees, students, parents, business and community members, with a majority not employed by the school district. The SAC supports continuous school improvement by assisting with the development and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and providing input on the school budget. School-based representatives are elected by their peer groups, while business and community members are selected to reflect the ethnic, racial, and economic diversity of the community. The SAC helps ensure school decisions reflect the needs of all stakeholders.
